Corded earplugs are designed with earplugs attached to the ends of the cord. The earplugs can easily be removed and stored around the neck when not in use. Some styles allow for the ear plug tips to be replaced.

Roll down ear plugs are designed to be rolled between the thumb and forefinger before inserted into the ear. Once inserted, the material expands to create a seal.
